Morocco star Hakimi 'very happy' at French giants PSG, agent says amid transfer speculation
Moroccan star Achraf Hakimi is content remaining at football club Paris Saint-German, according to his agent, amid speculation that he might be prepared to leave the French giants after a stellar World Cup performance.
"I don’t know about the future, but Hakimi has a contract for three-and-a-half years at PSG which aims to win the French League and the Champions League, and I think Hakimi will play it safe now,” Hakimi’s agent Alejandro Camano told Italian outlet Calcio Mercato.
"For the future [I don’t know], football is very dynamic, but he is very happy in France right now," Camano added.
Hakimi, who plays at right back, has represented Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Inter Milan, and is now at PSG.
Born in Madrid, he chose to represent his parents’ country Morocco instead of Spain, and scored the winning penalty to defeat the Spanish in the World Cup round of 16 earlier this month.
Hakimi was widely acknowledged as one of the best players in the tournament, and helped power Morocco on a dream run all the way to the World Cup semi-finals, making the Atlas Lions the first African or Arab team ever to reach the tournament's last four.
