Fighters from the Palestinian Lions' Den group claimed responsibility for three shooting attacks against Israeli checkpoints south of the city of Nablus in the northern West Bank, while Israeli forces destroyed 10 structures in the village of Douma and arrested 20 Palestinians.

The Lions' Den group, which emerged last year to resist Israeli attacks on Nablus, said in a statement that it had targeted the Huwara military camp and checkpoint, as well as the Awarta checkpoint, on Thursday "with a hail of bullets".

The Islamic Jihad movement also said it had targeted Israeli troops south of Nablus.

In another development, Suleiman Dawabsha, the head of the local council of the village of Douma south of Nablus, told The New Arab’s sister site Al-Araby Al-Jadeed that Israeli forces had demolished ten structures in the village, including residential tents, animal pens, and two agricultural enclosures.

Israeli forces also briefly arrested two people in the village. Twenty other people were arrested across the West Bank and East Jerusalem, including Saleh Al-Yasidi, a member of the Revolutionary Council of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah movement.
