A combined car-ramming and stabbing attack in Tel Aviv reportedly left at least seven Israelis injured on Tuesday.

While the Israeli police say the incident is "under review", a video circulating social media allegedly showed the attacker being shot and killed by a bystander at the scene.

Three of the injured are reported to be in critical condition. The motive behind the attack is yet unclear, but the Israeli media has described the incident as a "terror attack".

The Islamic group Hamas has praised the attack calling it "heroic".

"The heroic attack in Tel Aviv is the first response to the occupation's crimes against our people in Jenin," their spokesperson said to media outlets.

The Israeli police claimed that the perpetrator was a resident of the occupied West Bank and acted alone, according to a preliminary assessment.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, Israel's attack on the Jenin refugee camp entered its second day with ten Palestinians killed by the Israeli army so far.
