Since October 7, a surge in settler-related violence has unfolded across the occupied West Bank, marking a troubling escalation in the region.
According to the UN, over the past four weeks at least 150 Palestinians - including 44 children - have been killed due to the actions of both Israeli security forces and Israeli settlers in the West Bank.
Compare this figure to the 199 incidents that occurred in the West Bank prior to October 7, the start of Israel’s escalation on the Gaza Strip.
Last year, 158 Palestinian fatalities were recorded in the occupied West Bank, but since October 7, Israeli forces have stepped up the number of overnight raids in West Bank homes and refugee camps.
