The death toll in Gaza has now surpassed 10,000, as Israeli strikes continue to pound the war-torn and besieged territory almost one month into the war.
According to the latest figures published by the Gaza health ministry today, Israeli strikes have killed at least 10,022 Palestinians - of which 4,104 were children - since Israel's brutal onslaught on the Gaza Strip began on 7 October.

Hundreds - if not thousands - more are also feared to be still trapped under rubble. After Israeli forces carried out intense bombardment on Sunday night/early Monday alone, the Gaza health ministry said more than 200 people were killed.
Many witnesses and journalists described Israel's indiscriminate bombardment overnight as the "heaviest experienced so far" on social media, amid yet another communications blackout.
