After Baptist Hospital massacre, Israel bombs Gaza Greek Orthodox Church sheltering displaced Palestinians

Israeli airstrikes destroyed a historic Greek Orthodox church that was sheltering members of Gaza's Christian minority on Thursday night, leaving several people dead and injured.

The church is next to the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital where an Israeli strike on Tuesday evening killed almost 500 displaced Palestinians sheltering on the hospital grounds.

The strikes come as Israel continues its assault on the Gaza Strip which has been described as "beyond catastrophic" by the UN. The indiscriminate Israeli strikes have, so far, killed 4,137 Palestinians, thousands of whom were children, according to the Palestinian health ministry.
