Life for Gaza teacher Inas Al-Baz has been reduced to a daily search for food and water for her family. Despite this, she breaks the monotony as often as she can, whether it's with a fresh ingredient for her cooking pot or study time with her children in their tent. She also praises the strength and endurance of all Palestinian women in Gaza in the face of Israel's relentless and brutal military campaign on the coastal enclave.

The Al-Baz family, from Al-Shati refugee camp, are among an estimated 1.5 million Palestinians crammed into the Rafah area in southern Gaza after Israeli forces displaced them from their homes. Since October 7, nearly 30,000 Palestinians have been confirmed killed in Gaza, according to health authorities, with thousands more feared dead and unrecovered under buildings reduced to wasteland.
