Rami Igra, a former head of the hostages and MIA unit with Israel's intelligence service Mossad, went on Israeli TV to claim that all individuals over the age of 4 in Gaza voted for Hamas, and that they all support them - thus making them wholly "involved" in the conflict.

The comments were made during an interview with Kan presenter Ayala Hasson. Igra also suggested that Israel being the "savior" of sorts by being the ones to provide would help turn Palestinians in Gaza against Hamas.

But on the same show, Yoseph Haddad - another guest who identifies as "Arab-Israeli" and has been the subject of criticism from Palestinians for selling out to the Zionist project - seemed to suggest "adding more pressure" on the civilians in Gaza to help them rise up against Hamas.

These sorts of discussions, often seen on Israeli TV, contribute to the dehumanisation of Palestinians and fuel the normalisation of the violence meted out against them in Gaza and the West Bank.
