Emotions ran high on Monday among Palestinian social media users as they remembered the 69th anniversary of the Nakba.
The Nakba is remembered every year as the day 700,000 Palestinains were expelled from their homes upon the creation of Israel.
The word nakba is directly translated as "catastrophe".
