The US State Department revealed on Monday a reward of up to $7 million for information on the head of Hezbollah's external security bureau, who it says is responsible for all the group's foreign activity.

It claims that Talal Hamiyeh is responsible for all attacks carried out by Hezbollah cells outside Lebanon and called on anyone with information on him to come forward via instant messaging apps.

Hezbollah - an Iranian-backed Shia Muslims movement in Lebanon - has been involved in different conflicts around the Middle East including Syria, Iraq, and Yemen.

Kuwait, Egypt, Bulgaria, and Argentina have also accused Hezbollah of being behind terrorist activities on their territories.

Last month, the US announced it is offering $5 million to anyone who provides information on Khalil Yusif Harb, who allegedly smuggled large amounts of money to Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen.

In March, the State Department offered $10 million to find a fugitive Hezbollah suspect who was convicted over the assassination of Lebanon's former Prime Minister Rafic Hariri.
