Swedish police arrested a 58-year-old man on suspicion of being involved in a massacre of political prisoners in Iran three decades ago.
According to national news agency TT, an Iranian national suspected of being involved in the 1988 Iran prison massacre against thousands of political prisoners.
The man, who hasn't been named by Stockholm, was arrested on 9 November after he entered the country to visit relatives.
He remains in custody until a decision is made on whether he should be charged or put on trial.
The final decision is due on 11 December.
The man is being accused of leading the mass killing of detainees at a prison in Karaj, a city west of the Iranian capital Tehran as the bloody Iran-Iraq War was beginning to wind down.
According to his lawyer, he denies the allegations against him.
