Riots erupt in Brussels after Morocco beat Belgium
Streets in the Belgian capital were engulfed by violence on Sunday after Morocco beat Belgium 2-0 in their World Cup group-stage match.
Belgium is home to a sizeable Moroccan community, many of whom were elated by their country of origin’s win over the Red Devils, who have been among the favourites to win the tournament.
In Brussels, revellers cheered, lit torches and fireworks, and drove around hooting car horns and waving the Moroccan flag.
Their celebrations appeared to anger some Belgium fans, and clashes soon erupted.

Marcus Rashford hails 'unbelievable' experience with Ronaldo at Manchester United
England forward Marcus Rashford said on Sunday it had been an "unbelievable experience" playing alongside Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United and described him as one of his idols.
Ronaldo, who features on the Portugal team at the World Cup, left United last week when the club said they had reached a mutual agreement with the player to terminate his contract with immediate effect.
The separation came after the five-time Ballon d'Or winner had heavily criticised United manager Erik ten Hag in a TV interview and accused the club of "betraying" him.
Rashford played with Ronaldo during the 37-year-old's second stint at United, having signed for the club's academy during the Portuguese's first spell.
"Listen, it's been an unbelievable experience to play with him," Rashford said, speaking in a press conference at England's World Cup base in Doha.
"He's obviously one of my idols and someone I've always looked up to," he said.
"So I wish him all the best. We obviously want to thank him for the things that he's done for Manchester United and wish him all the best in the rest of his career."
Ronaldo has yet to announce who he will next play for.
After first-round defeats, Cameroon, Serbia need World Cup win
After failing to score and losing their opening games, both Cameroon and Serbia need their strikers on target when they meet Monday at the World Cup.
"We’re in a difficult situation," Cameroon coach Rigobert Song said, referring to his team’s opening 1-0 loss to Switzerland. "It’s a decisive game and we’re ready."
Serbia coach Dragan Stojkovic said his squad arrived in Qatar with eight players who were not yet fully fit.
"People asked me at the time why I wasn't smiling. That was why, but I couldn't say anything or everyone would have known," he said.
"The intensity of the last two days has been impressive. It’s an indicator we’re back in shape."
