Lindsey Lohan in Lebanon sparks social media frenzy
A TikTok video showing US actress Lindsey Lohan in Lebanon has sparked a viral hashtag online.
In the video shared by @michellelipsyncs on the popular video-sharing app, Lohan is seen posing with three fans in the Lebanese capital on Saturday.
“When I saw her she was having dinner with friends at Piazza 1140 in Hammana,” the original posted wrote in a comment under her video.

That triggered a frenzy online with Lohan fans mobilising on Twitter to locate the popular Mean Girls star.
WHY IS LINDSEY LOHAN IN LEBANON AND IM NOT ???

Unsurprisingly, the tweets included hot political takes including this user who suggested she was in town to save Lebanon from its very own “Regina George”.
So a while ago people made connections between the MEAN GIRLS movie and the political situation in Lebanon making Aoun our Regina George. So is Lindsey Lohan here to throw him in-front of a bus and save lebanon? Discuss

On that note, one social media user issued stern advice for the actress.

In 2015, Lohan sparked a debate on whether she had converted to Islam after she was spotted with a Quran in New York.
During a trip to Turkey, she wore a hijab while visiting refugees, she also revealed on Turkish TV that she had studied the Quran, adding: "they crucified me for it in America".
Lohan, a former child actor who appeared in hit films like The Parent Trap, Freaky Friday and Mean Girls, has struggled with a drug addiction and has had numerous run-ins with the law.
The formerly troubled actress was sentenced in 2013 to 240 hours of community service for reckless driving and lying to police following a 2012 car accident in California.
In 2019, tabloid rumours suggested Lohan and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman were romantically involved, including reports that the prince gave the actress gifts and a credit card.
Michael Lohan denied his daughter had a romantic relationship with the controversial crown prince, who Lindsey describes as a "good person".
A representative for Lindsey Lohan denied to Page Six in August that the actress was involved with the crown prince, and said no credit card had been exchanged.
"They are just friends. Lindsay has a lot of powerful friends in the Middle East, because she is huge out there," Michael Lohan said.
"Lindsay met MbS because of the work she has been doing in the Middle East. She is working to help people in the region, particularly refugees."
He added that his daughter has a "platonic and respectful" relationship with MbS, nothing more.
