Israeli settlers on Thursday evening vandalised Palestinian cars in a town south of the occupied West Bank city of Jenin.

The settlers identified the cars in Sielet Ath-Thaher as Palestinian by their registration plates, then pelted them with stones and empty bottles, according to local sources.

Israeli soldiers stormed the town the same evening. They raided homes and shops, and confiscated CCTV equipment.

Soldiers also interrogated passengers in Palestinian vehicles in the Wad Da’ouq area, along with Arraba-Ya’bad road.

The same night, an Israeli man was fatally shot at a Jewish settler outpost north of the city of Nablus.

Hours later, settlers stormed a village south of Nablus, attacking and injuring several Palestinians, a local official told media.

Israel has occupied the West Bank illegally since 1967, and commits various abuses against Palestinian civilians, human rights groups say.

More than 700,000 Jewish Israelis live in settlements in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, in constructions considered illegal under international law.

Rights groups have repeatedly accused Israeli forces of using "unnecessary and excessive force" and carrying out extrajudicial killings of Palestinians.
