A Palestinian bus driver was stabbed by an Israeli settler in Jerusalem on Friday when a fight broke out after a collision, according to reports.
Mohammed Abu Nab, from the occupied East Jerusalem neighbourhood of Silwan, “was stabbed twice in the back”, the Palestinian Authority's WAFA news agency quoted Khaled Abu Tayeh, a member of the Silwan Lands Defence Committee as saying.
The attack took place after a crash between Abu Nah's bus and a car, Israeli media said, citing Israeli police.
After the crash, three Israeli men in the car and Abu Nah started to fight, and the Palestinian was stabbed.
The Israeli emergency health service said it received an emergency call at 8:30am reporting the attack.
The 42-year-old bus driver, who works for Israeli transportation company Egged, was taken to Jerusalem's Shaare Zedek medical centre to be treated for his injuries, the health service said.
Abu Nab is in a "moderate" condition, the health service added.
