Israeli forces stormed the occupied West Bank city of Nablus early on Tuesday morning and raided the house of a Palestinian man behind an attack that left three Israeli settlers dead.

The forces raided Moaz al-Masri's apartment to prepare it for demolition, his cousin said.

The cousin added that the apartment has been vacant since al-Masri was killed by Israeli forces in May, nearly a month after he and Hassan Qatnani shot three Israeli settlers dead in the Jordan Valley region in early April.

Israel regularly orders and carries out home demolitions in occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank. The demolitions have been slammed by the UN and rights groups as a form of collective punishment.

Israeli forces also stormed Al-Quds Street in Nablus where they were met with gunfire by resistance fighters in the town.

In the Askar camp east of Nablus, Israeli forces raided the house of the Al-Dash family, arrested brothers Muhammad and Walid, and reportedly beat their parents, who were taken to hospital.

Videos shared online showed clashes in the camp between resistance fighters and Israeli soldiers.

In Aqabat Jabr camp in Jericho, Israeli forces also arrested Uday Shloun after raiding his house.

Israeli forces have carried out near-daily raids in the West Bank for over a year, particularly in Nablus, Jenin and surrounding towns.

More than 160 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces and settlers in the West Bank and besieged Gaza Strip since the beginning of this year.
