Israeli forces kill Palestinian after West Bank stabbing attack
Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian on Thursday after he stabbed three Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank.
"A terrorist infiltrated into (the Adam settlement) and stabbed three civilians," the army said in a statement, adding that three civilians were being taken to hospital for medical treatment.
"The terrorist was shot and killed," it said.
In a previous statement, the army had said all three Israelis were "seriously" wounded.
According to the emergency services, two of them suffered serious injuries and were evacuated to a hospital in Jerusalem.
Lone Palestinian attackers have carried out multiple deadly stabbings and car-rammings against Israelis in recent years.
More than 600,000 Israeli Jews live in settlements in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, in constructions considered illegal under international law.
Israeli armed forces have shot and killed at least 150 Palestinians in 2018, the majority during protests in the Gaza Strip
