Fans label Egyptian singer Mohamed Ramadan 'vulgar' after star drives Lamborghini on stage
Egyptian singer Mohamed Ramadan caused controversy after driving in a luxury car on stage during his performance in Jordan on Friday.
Many took to social media after the star drove a Lamborghini as part of his set for Jordan’s 2022 Ayla Music Festival in the city of Aqaba, bashing the move as “vulgar” and “extravagant”.
Critics also complained about high ticket prices, suggesting those attending were calling for poverty.
“After all the difficult circumstances the country is going through… unemployment, poverty, hardship of living… and insanely high prices… they bring Mohamed Ramadan to perform… I know Jordan is not well,” one social media user wrote.

“[It’s] disgusting to allow such parties in al-Aqaba,” another tweeted.
Ticket prices reportedly amounted to around 200 Jordanian dinars ($282), according to Middle East 24.
In a tweet Zaatreh – who is also a political analyst - asked if Ramadan’s performance could be considered art after suggesting it was “extravagant” and “vulgar”.
Another user suggested Jordanians were “calling for high prices and poverty” through the high volume of attendance at the event.
Ramadan is no stranger to controversy. The singer previously caused uproar after appearing “half naked” while donning a Saudi headdress during a performance.
Fans were also outraged after an official Israeli account posted an image of the singer with an Israeli singer named Omer Adam.
