African ambassador reported for sexual harassment in Kuwait: report

A secretary working at the embassy of an African country in Kuwait reported the ambassador for sexual harassment, Kuwait’s Al-Rai newspaper reported.

The ambassador allegedly lured the secretary into his office, grabbed her hand and hugged her, Al-Rai said, adding that the secretary managed to get away.

It did not state which embassy it was.

Authorities recorded the incident as a felony and will inform Kuwait’s ministry of foreign affairs.

No further information was given.

The anonymity of the ambassador in such cases is sometimes preserved due to diplomatic immunity.
