Adult film star Whitney Wright visits Syria after trips to other Middle East countries

American adult film star Whitney Wright has reportedly visited Syria, according to a short video on her social media accounts.

Wright, 32, shared videos of herself in Syria on the story feature on her Instagram account.

Social media users shared screenshots from her videos, saying they were taken in the cities of Homs and Damascus.

Her visit to the war-torn country comes after visits she made to other Arab nations including Morocco, Lebanon, Egypt, and Iraq.

The adult film actress, who has been outspoken in her support for Palestine, had also visited Iran.

She found herself in hot waters after that visit, angering Iranian dissidents who accused her of whitewashing the regime's violations of women's rights.

Online users have questioned the motive behind her visits to the region, with some people making fun of her trip to largely conservative Iran, where she visited the defunct US embassy.

Wright has been vocal about Israel’s eight-month-long war on Gaza, voicing her support for Palestinians.
