Drive-by shooting in Saudi capital kills 2 policemen
Two Saudi policemen were killed when their patrol came under fire in Riyadh early on Wednesdayin the second drive-by shooting targeting police in less than two weeks.

Saudi Arabia's state news agency says a drive-by shooting near the kingdom's capital, Riyadh, killed two policemen.
The official Saudi Press Agency SPA says gunmen opened fire from a car at a police patrol east of Riyadh in the early hours on Wednesday. The shooting resulted in the deaths of the two officers.
The pre-dawn attack came in an eastern district of the capital, a police spokesman said in a statement carried by the SPA.
"A security patrol was carrying out its duties in east Riyadh when it came under fire from an unidentified vehicle," the spokesman said.
On March 29, two policemen were wounded in a similar attack in Riyadh, just days after the Interior Minister Prince Mohammed bin Nayef ordered that security be tightened nationwide as the kingdom launched air strikes against rebels in neighbouring Yemen.
Saudi Arabia is also part of a US-led coalition taking part in an air war against the Islamic State group, which has seized swathes of Syria and Iraq.

No one immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.
Such attacks are rare in Saudi Arabia, though from 2003 to 2007 al-Qaida linked militants carried out attacks in the kingdom, including deadly bombings of residential compounds housing foreigners in Riyadh in 2003.
