Assiah is a news journalist at The New Arab covering MENA, UK and international news. Previously worked as a Life Writer at Bristol Live, reporting on What’s On features and local community stories across Bristol, before moving into a Trends Writer role across regional and national publications- with work featured in publications including The Daily Mirror,  Daily Record,  OK! Magazine and Manchester Evening News.

 

She holds a BA in Journalism and International Relations at De Montfort University, as well as an MA in Investigative Journalism supported by  DMU and Channel 4. 

 

Assiah is also a 2021 HarperCollins Author Academy graduate and 2022 Grierson DocLab alumna.
