Habib Battah is an investigative journalist, political analyst and founder of He has covered Lebanon and the Middle East for over 18 years, contributing to The Guardian, BBC News, Al Jazeera English, CNN, Fortune, Jacobin and others. He is a former journalist fellow at Oxford University and the American University of Beirut, where he also teaches journalism and media studies. His work has been recognized for outstanding local reporting by the Columbia University Oakes Award and is a two-time recipient of the Samir Kassir Press Freedom Award.
