The Israeli police shot and killed a Palestinian teenager in occupied East Jerusalem on Monday morning, 6 November, after he allegedly carried out a stabbing attack, claimed the Israeli police. 

In a statement released by the Israeli police, the suspect, a 16-year-old from Issawiya armed with a knife, attacked two Israeli border police officers, inflicting a "deadly wound" on one of the officers, who passed away hours later. The second officer sustained moderate wounds.

On Sunday, the Israeli army killed three Palestinians in the village of Abu Dis, which has been isolated from East Jerusalem by the Israeli wall since the second Intifada. 

According to a tally done by Palestinian journalists, the Israeli forces have killed at least fourteen Palestinians from East Jerusalem since October 7 and thirty-one since the start of 2023. 

In a separate statement released on Monday, the Israeli police announced that it had detained 23 Palestinians from different parts of occupied East Jerusalem, aged 13-40, suspected of supporting Hamas and taking part in "riots" over the past few weeks.
