Israel's war on Gaza, which is now in its 141st day, has killed tens of thousands of people, mostly women and children.

Overnight Israeli strikes against Gaza's Deir el-Balah have killed 24 displaced people seeking shelter as its war on the enclave continues into day 141.

Alongside strikes on Deir el-Balah, Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that Israel carried out shelling in Gaza City, Khan Younis and Nuseirat and al-Bureij.

The strikes come after Netanyahu's post-war plan for Gaza was unveiled on Friday, stipulating that Israel's military would have freedom to operate in Gaza, while local officials would govern the enclave.

The plan was rejected by the Palestinian Authority, which said it was 'destined to fail,' reiterating calls for an end to Israel's occupation of the Palestinian territories.

Since 7 October Israel has killed 29,606 Palestinians in its war on Gaza, with a further 69,737 wounded. Most casualties are women and children.
