Fighting in Rafah intensifies amid renewed assault on Gaza City

Israeli airstrikes on Rafah killed two medics from the Palestine Red Crescent Society, amid renewed attacks on Gaza city

Heavy clashes are continuing inside Rafah city following a renewed Israeli assault on the city, amid relentless shelling.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said that they retrieved the bodies of two paramedics who were killed in an Israeli strike in Tel Sultan, west of Rafah, bring the total number of PRCS medics killed in the war to 19.

Israel's assault on Gaza has also continued in the north where its forces have pushed into Gaza City's Zeitoun neighbourhood. 

According to Palestinian news agency WAFA 3 civilians were killed by Israeli snipers in Tal Al-Hawa neighbourhood in Gaza city.

Israel's war on Gaza has so far killed 36,171 Palestinians, mostly women and children, with a further 81,420 wounded.
