Thousands of protesters took to the streets in cities like New York, London, and Westminster. after Israel's resumption of the brutal bombing campaign in Gaza, breaking the ceasefire and killing more than 400 people on Tuesday. The ongoing genocide shattered nearly two months of relative calm, as Israel warned the onslaught was "just the beginning." Pro-Palestinian demonstrators vastly outnumbered Israeli sympathizers during the rallies. Israel PM Netanyahu claimed they ordered the strikes after Hamas rejected proposals to secure a ceasefire extension. Hamas, which still holds 59 of the 250 or so hostages, accused Israel of jeopardizing efforts by mediators to negotiate a permanent deal to end the fighting, but the group made no threat of retaliation.
