US President Trump launched large-scale military strikes against Yemen's Houthis, over the group's recent threats on resuming attacks on Israeli ships, if Israel did not lift a block on aid entering Gaza.

US strikes killed at least 53 people and injuring 101 others, mostly women and children, at the start of a campaign expected to continue for weeks. Trump also warned Iran, that it needed to immediately halt support for the group.

The top Commander of Iran's Revolutionary Guards said the Houthis are independent and take their own strategic and operational decisions. And vowed to deliver a "decisive and devastating" response to any enemy who executes their threats. US said that the airstrikes on Houthis will not stop until the group ends its attacks on ships and drones in the red sea.

The Yemeni Armed Forces said they will respond with escalation, and announced a second attack against the US aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman.
