Trump addresses the future of Gaza after his inauguration

US President Donald Trump expressed doubts about whether the fragile ceasefire in Gaza will hold in comments to the press following his inauguration in Washington on Monday.

Asked by a reporter about whether the two sides would maintain the truce, he said "I'm not confident".

"That's not our war; it's their war. But I'm not confident," Trump said. Trump said the densely-populated Palestinian enclave looked like "a massive demolition site" and that it had to be rebuilt in a different way.
