In the Israeli-occupied West Bank, Palestinians have been denied access to the essential waters of Ein Al-Auja due to increasing violence by Israeli settlers and systematic efforts to expel them from the area. Since 2024, the spring has witnessed a sharp escalation in settler violence, with more than 110 incidents documented, according to a recent UN report. The report states that residents who tried to access the Al-Auja water spring were physically assaulted, making it even harder for them to maintain their livestock and livelihoods.
