London's famous Coventry Street, which stretches from Piccadilly Circus to Leicester Square, has been lit up for Ramadan for the third time.
The street, considered the heart of the city, has been lit up for the third year in a row to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan.
The lights, which were installed in collaboration with the Aziz Foundation and the London City Council, feature the words "Happy Ramadan" in lights. Before the Ramadan lights were switched on, London children held a lantern procession down the street.
The procession was part of the "Ramazan Kandilleri" project organized by schools. The switch to switch on the Ramadan decorations was pressed by the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan.
The Ramadan lights will illuminate Coventry Street until 29 March. Around 31,000 LED lights have been used to create the Ramadan decorations, which will be lit every night from 5pm to 1am. The street was first illuminated for Ramadan in 2023.
