The situation along the Syrian-Lebanese border has escalated into violence, especially around the towns of Al-Qasr in Lebanon and Qusayr in Syria.
The tensions flared after three Syrian soldiers were killed in Al-Qasr on Sunday night, prompting the Syrian army to exchange fire with Lebanese armed groups.
This led to at least seven deaths and 42 injuries in Lebanon, and the Syrian army confirmed six soldiers lost their lives. Both Syrian and Lebanese authorities have since reinforced their military presence along the border.
