Overnight Israel strikes shut down surgery department at Gaza's Nasser hospital on Sunday. Killing five people, including Ismail Barhoum a Hamas political leader, which was being treated at the hospital for wounds sustained in a previous attack. The overnight Israeli strikes across the Gaza Strip killed at least 46 Palestinians, adding to the 50,000+ Palestinians killed, 17,000 of whom are children, and the 113,274 other wounded since the beginning of the war. Health officials said Israel has killed nearly 700 Palestinians, at least 400 women and children, since it resumed attacks on Gaza last Tuesday, ending weeks of relative calm after a ceasefire in January. Hamas also said several of its senior political and security officials had also been killed.
