While headlining Coachella for the first time, Green Day used their 2004 single ‘Jesus of Suburbia’ to deliver a bold political message by calling attention to the suffering of Palestinian children amid the continuous genocide by Israel.
The frontman of the punk band, Billie Joe Armstrong, draped the Palestinian flag over his shoulder and finished the song with it. Later on in the night, the band also called for a ceasefire and addressed Trump and Elon Musk in their song ‘Holiday’.
