At least six children, including six infants, have died from freezing temperatures in Gaza, as displaced families endure the winter in tents and destroyed buildings with no heating or adequate shelter.

Humanitarian organisations have warned that the lack of blankets, warm clothing, and fuel for fires is making survival increasingly difficult.

Despite the worsening crisis, Israel continues to block the entry of sufficient shelter materials, worsening the humanitarian catastrophe.

Hamas has accused Israel of deliberately preventing aid from reaching more than two million people, while the international community remains largely silent.

With rain and harsh winds battering makeshift camps, doctors fear that more children will die in the coming days.
