Palestinian prisoners released under the Gaza ceasefire have revealed horrific accounts of torture and rape inside Israeli prisons.
Testimonies gathered by Al-Araby TV describe guards using sexual violence, starvation, and beatings to break detainees. Gaza’s Health Ministry said returned bodies showed signs of torture and burns.
Rights groups warn these abuses are systematic, aimed at terrorising Palestinians both inside and outside prison walls.
Despite the release of nearly 2,000 detainees, more than 9,000 — including women and children — remain imprisoned, many without charge.
Calls for an international investigation are growing amid mounting evidence of war crimes.
