Cierra Powell is a Master’s Degree student at Penn State's School of International Affairs. She is graduating in May, then will pursue work in the diplomatic sphere. She is currently studying Tunisia as part of a course she is attending at the university on North Africa after the Arab Spring. She graduated in 2018 from Carroll College. She earned two Bachelor’s degrees in International Relations and Spanish with a minor in Latin American Studies. Cierra studied abroad in Seville, Spain and conducted independent research in Ecuador as a 2017 Gilman Scholar. After graduating, she served as a Gilman Alumni Ambassador and 2019-2020 Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in the Canary Islands. Cierra speaks Spanish and is learning Catalan.
