US President Donald Trump has "praised Allah" in a post on Truth Social for the second time since the US-Israeli war on Iran began.

Trump also boasted about Iran's military losses during the war, claiming that Iran's "Navy is gone, their Air Force is gone, their Anti Aircraft apparatus is nonexistent, Radar is dead, their Missile and Drone Factories have been largely obliterated along with the Missiles and Drones themselves."

"Most importantly," he added, "their longtime 'Leaders' are no longer with us, praise be to Allah!"

It is the second time Trump has invoked praise to Allah, the Arabic word for God, with the first being when he demanded Iran open the Strait of Hormuz, threatening to destroy the country's power plants and bridges and face "living in Hell."

He later threatened the civilisational erasure of Iran if it didn't comply with US demands.

Trump also used the post to take shots at traditional US allies, saying: "We're now starting the process of clearing out the Strait of Hormuz as a favor to Countries all over the world, including China, Japan, South Korea, France, Germany, and many others."

"Incredibly, they don't have the Courage or Will to do this work themselves."

Trump's remarks come as the US and Iran are engaged in peace talks in Pakistan's capital, Islamabad, with Vice President JD Vance heading the US delegation, and Iran's speaker of Parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi leading the Iranian delegation.
