Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian has said that Tehran will no longer target neighbouring countries, unless an attack originates from there, as the US-Israeli war on Iran enters its second week.
Despite the formal announcement, attacks on Gulf countries including the UAE and Qatar continued overnight and into the morning. Dubai International Airport was targeted overnight, leading to a suspension of flights.
Meanwhile, Israel has announced multiple waves of attacks on Iran as residents of Tehran and major cities across the country reported hearing constant sounds of explosions from missile strikes and interceptions. The death toll in the country has surpassed 1,300.
Israel has also intensified its attacks on Lebanon, with an overnight strike on the town of Nabi Chit killing at least 16 people and injuring dozens more.
Hezbollah has said it engaged in fighting with Israeli soldiers on the ground in eastern Bekaa amid reports of Israeli forces attempting a landing operation along the border between Lebanon and Syria, as Tel Aviv looks to push further inside Lebanese territory.
