Three of global pop's biggest stars have collaborated for the latest song on the Qatar World Cup soundtrack.

'Tukoh Taka' features Trinidadian-American rapper Nicki Minaj, Colombian singer Maluma, and Lebanese popstar Myriam Fares.

The uptempo song is set for release with an accompanying video on 18 November, two days before the football tournament kicks off in Qatar.

Minaj had teased the collaboration over the weekend in a post on her Instagram story but shared an official pre-save link on Twitter on Monday.

Past World Cups have seen one official song released to mark the occasion, sometimes to massive success - think Shakira’s 'Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)', which since its release for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa has racked up more than three billion views on YouTube.

But football governing body FIFA said earlier this year that this World Cup that there would be a compilation of songs for this edition of the tournament, to "bring passionate fans closer to the spirit of the FIFA World Cup like never before".

The first song in the soundtrack, 'Better Together', was released in April. Produced by Swedish-Moroccan beatmaker RedOne, the song featured Nigerian-American Afropop star Davido, US pop singer Trinidad Cardona, and Qatari musician Aisha.

The songs are noted for their cultural crossovers, with sounds and artists from the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America all on the World Cup playlist.
