Popular children's entertainer Ms Rachel has said she will not be working with anyone who doesn't speak up about the humanitarian situation in Gaza, where Israel has imposed a starvation siege on the enclave's population of around 2 million.
Ms Rachel, whose real name is Rachel Accurso, shared the message in an Instagram post on Thursday, amid growing global outrage over Israel's war on Gaza.
"To anyone asking to work with me who hasn't spoken out about Gaza: Thank you for the request. I'm not comfortable working with anyone who hasn't spoken about Gaza," Accurso wrote in the post.
In the accompanying caption, she added: "I will always choose kindness, but I will never understand your silence." Accurso said in the post. "I especially can’t understand those with so much privilege - the uncancellable - who still remain in the shadows."
At the time of publishing, the post had received close to 300,000 'likes' on Instagram, and drew thousands of messages of support.
Accurso, who has over 15 million subscribers on YouTube, has regularly posted on social media about the suffering of Gaza's children caused by Israel's war.
The "Songs for Littles" star has shared videos of herself speaking with children and their parents in Gaza, and has also met with victims of the Israeli onslaught.
Accurso shared a post of her meeting with three-year-old double amputee Rahaf from Gaza, in a video which highlighted the effects of Israel's bombing campaign, and the fact that her family were still trapped by the Israeli war and siege.
She has also donated $1 million to World Food Program USA to aid starving populations in conflict zones, including Gaza, and recently made a video with Palestinian photojournalist Motaz Azaiza.
Ms Rachel's Gaza advocacy has drawn the ire of pro-Israel groups, who have attempted to smear the children's star with claims of antisemitism.
In April, a US-based pro-Israel organisation called on the attorney general to investigate her for messages highlighting the suffering of Gaza's children.
As well as speaking about Gaza, Accurso has also spoken openly about the bullying she faced over her advocacy for Gaza.
According to UNICEF, Israel has killed or injured at least 50,000 children in Gaza since October 2023.
