Lebanese-American former adult actress Mia Khalifa donated thousands of dollars to the Lebanese Red Cross on the second anniversary of the devastating Beirut port explosion.

Lebanese-American former adult film actress Mia Khalifa has donated $10,000 to the Lebanese Red Cross on the second anniversary of the Beirut port blast.
The controversial star - who was born in Lebanon but lives in the US - is known for her outspoken support of human rights, and posted a screenshot of her donation to Beirut online on Thursday.
Activists around the world mourned the anniversary of the tragic blast, which killed 220 people, injured 7,000, and destroyed a large chunk of the city as it deepened an already painful economic crisis.
"Cheers to happier times, past and future #Lebanon, I love you," Khalifa wrote on Twitter, tagging the Lebanese Red Cross in the post.

The humanitarian organisation responded to Khalifa, thanking her for "always supporting" them.
Khalifa also shared that she had ordered a $3,000 bottle of wine from Chateau Musar winery – who say their "vines have been cultivated from Lebanon’s high altitude Bekaa Valley for over 6,000 years".
"This is a piece of history from happier times in Lebanon. Before the civil war, before the Beirut blast, before the economic destruction, before air raids, before the heartache and mass emigration," Khalifa wrote in an Instagram caption on Thursday.
"At its core, the Lebanese just want to love, eat, dance, and die peacefully on our beautiful land and be buried into the soil that grows these magical grapes," she continued.
Khalifa donated $20,000 to the Lebanese Red Cross last January as she thanked them for their aid efforts following the port explosion.
She has also previously publicly slammed Israeli violence against Palestinians and took an aim at Washington's military aid to Israel in a tweet featuring distressing images of Palestinians suffering at the hands of Israeli forces.
