Ivanka Trump flouts government coronavirus rules to travel for Passover
Ivanka Trump travelled to New Jersey to celebrate Passover with her husband Jared Kushner's family despite Federal guidelines advising against travel over Covid-19 fears.

Ivanka Trump flouted federal guidelines advising social distancing rules due to the coronavirus by travelling to New Jersey to celebrate the Jewish festival of Passover with her husband Jared Kushner.
This comes despite Ivanka's vocal advocacy for social distancing in a video she posted online encouraging Americans to follow government guidelines, which suggests people should stay at least six feet apart.
"Each and every one of us plays a role in slowing the spread," she had said in the video.
But Donald Trump's daughter appears to have ignored the guidelines advising against travel, leaving her home in Washington for another in New Jersey for the Jewish festival.
One 1 April the city of Washington issued a stay-at-home-order for all residents unless they perform essential activities.
Kushner, who is a senior White House adviser, Trump and their three children travelled to the Trump National Golf Club Bedminster in New Jersey to celebrate the first night of Passover this month, according to The New York Times reports, despite urging Americans to stay at home.
"We're all in this together," she said in a video message she posted on social media.
"We'll emerge from this stronger than ever before, and maybe more deeply and profoundly connected with our own humanity and our core values," she said, adding, "Let's do everything we can to stop the spread."
Travelling for Passover's Seder meal has been prohibited in Israel, where Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu banned movement between cities to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
"Every family will sit down for Seder night on its own. Celebrate only with the immediate family's that's at home with you now," he said in a televised address.
Mike Pence, the US vice president, says more than three million people have been tested for the new coronavirus across the country.
"It's reported to us that we've conducted and completed 3 million, 324,000 tests across the nation, more than 619,000 Americans have tested positive," he says at a White House press briefing.
More than 27,000 Americans have died and 45,000 have "fully recovered," he says.
