Israeli minister Orit Struck's daughter found dead after accusing parents of rape
Shoshana Struck, the daughter of Israeli Minister of Settlements and National Missions Orit Struck, was found dead inside a chalet she had rented in the settlement of Amirim in the Upper Galilee.
Minister Struck published a death notice on Sunday morning, 15 March, announcing on her social media pages that "with a broken heart we announce the death of our beloved daughter Shoshana."
According to the Israeli website Ynet, the volunteer organisation ZAKA informed the authorities of the minister's daughter's death. The organisation said it transferred her body for an autopsy at the forensic medicine institute, adding that the results "do not indicate suspicions of criminal activity."
Earlier, Shoshana Struck appeared in a video in which she claimed details about alleged sexual abuse by her father, a rabbi, and her mother, the minister. She claimed that since she was a child, her parents had taken her to sexual rituals involving children.
She added that when she was 13 years old, her father exposed her to prostitution in Tel Aviv to earn money from her rape. She also claimed her father had continued raping her until recently and that she had filed a complaint with the authorities for investigation. At the time, she said she had no suicidal tendencies and that if she died, someone would be responsible.
Meanwhile, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich commented on the death of his daughter in a post on the platform X.
"I send a hug and support to my friend Orit (Struck, his colleague in the Religious Zionism bloc), and to her family in these difficult moments," he wrote.
He added that "whoever exploits the terrible break and loss to attack and incite at such moments is a vile and despicable person," referring to accusations against Struck and her husband of being behind their daughter's death.
