Israeli forces continued to pound the Gaza Strip on Monday, despite a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump due to take place later in the day, where a potential ceasefire for the enclave is likely to be at the top of the agenda.
At least 24 people were killed on Monday, with strikes on homes and healthcare facilities.
Attacks took place in the Tal al-Hawa neighbourhood, southwest of Gaza City, the al-Rimal clinic in central Gaza City, and the al-Bureij refugee camp in the enclave's centre.
Attacks on aid distribution sites have also taken place. At least two Palestinians were killed by Israeli gunfire north of Rafah, with 20 others injured, according to Al Jazeera.
Also overnight, Israel attacked several Houthi-linked sites in Yemen, including the Hodeidah, Ras Isa and Salif ports, as well as the Ras Qantib power plant.
Meanwhile, Netanyahu has landed in the US ahead of his scheduled meeting with Trump, according to The Times of Israel.
Netanyahu and Trump are due to meet on Monday at 6:30pm local time without the usual presence of journalists, with the latter expressing hope for a ceasefire deal "this week" between Israel and Hamas.
Meetings with US officials such as Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff and Secretary of State Marco Rubio are also on the agenda.
