Israeli ceasefire violations continue as Palestinians await the reopening of the Rafah crossing in line with the second phase of the truce agreement

Israeli shelling and gunfire were heard overnight across Gaza, including in areas inside the so-called "yellow line".

Overnight activity followed the killing of four people in Gaza City's Tuffah neighbourhood on Tuesday, according to medical sources.

Meanwhile, Palestinians are anxiously awaiting Israel to reopen the southern Rafah crossing, which is expected to open in line with the second phase of the ceasefire agreement.

Medics warn of a dire humanitarian situation in the occupied territory, with the UN saying hundreds of thousands of families continue to face urgent needs in light of an insufficient entry of aid.

In the West Bank, Israel raided multiple towns, shooting and injuring at least two people in Tulkarm.
