The funeral for six people killed in an Israeli strike targeting Hamas in Qatar was held in Doha on Thursday, as Israel pressed on with its intensive military operation in the besieged Gaza Strip.
Qatar's ruler Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani attended the funeral at the capital's Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Wahhab Mosque and prayed alongside dozens of mourners.
Condemning the Tuesday strike, the UAE said any attack on a Gulf state was an attack on the Gulf's "joined security system."
Hamas slammed the attack on its negotiators, saying it was aimed at killing off Gaza ceasefire talks and accused the US of being an "accomplice".
Meanwhile in Gaza, the territory's health ministry raised the death toll since the start of the war on 7 October 2023 to more than 64,700 people, with more than 70 killed over the past 24 hours.
