At least 35 Palestinians were killed in Gaza on Sunday as Israeli forces continued to bombard the enclave.
Medics told Palestinian news agency Wafa that Israeli forces killed four people and injured others near aid distribution sites operated by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) in Netzarim and Rafah.
Israeli warplanes continued their aerial bombardment of Gaza City ahead of an expected ground offensive, targeting a school and a mosque in Zeitoun, a suburb in the south-east of the city that has been devastated by Israeli bombing in recent days.
This comes amid global outrage at Israel's continued siege on the territory, where a UN-backed food monitor on Friday said that more than half a million people are now suffering from famine.
The Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC) system officially declared a famine in Gaza City, triggering pleas from the UN and aid agencies to the international community to act to prevent Israel starving hundreds of thousands of people to death.
The World Health Organization warned on Saturday that more than 15,600 people in Gaza - including 3,800 children - need to be evacuated for emergency medical treatment.
