At least 14 people were killed by Israeli forces in a southern Syrian village overnight, Syrian state television reported on Friday, after Israel's army said six soldiers were wounded in an operation in the area.

Syria TV said the death toll in Beit Jin "included women and children", and that more victims remained trapped under the rubble as dozens of families fled the foothills of Mount Hermon.

Local official Abdul Rahman Al Hamrawi told AFP that Israeli forces had raided the village southwest of Damascus, triggering clashes.

In Gaza, a Palestinian man was killed when an Israeli drone targeted the town of Bani Suheila east of Khan Younis as Israeli forces carried out attacks across the south, including Rafah.

In the occupied West Bank, the UN rights office condemned the apparent summary execution of two Palestinian men in Jenin. Videos showed the men surrendering before being shot, and urged an independent investigation

In southern Lebanon, an Israeli army drone hit a pickup truck in the town of Kantara in the Marjaayoun district, killing the driver.
