Iranian newspaper publishes purported map of Tehran's targets in Israel
A state-linked Iranian newspaper published Tuesday a map of what appears to be Tehran's targets in Israel, and warned Iran's sworn enemy against any wrong moves.
The map, published in English-language daily Tehran Times, accompanied an article headlined "Just one wrong move!".
"An intensification of the Israeli military threats against Iran seems to suggest that the Zionist regime has forgotten that Iran is more than capable of hitting them from anywhere," cautioned the story's lede.
Targets all over Israel were marked with red pins. Locations in the occupied West Bank were also marked.
The Tehran Times was established after the 1979 revolution. Iran-Israel relations have been bitter since the revolution.
In its article and related Twitter thread, the newspaper harked back to comments made by Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in 2013 on Iran's ability to destroy Israel.
"The Tehran Times doesn't need to remind the illegitimate regime of Israel of Iran's defense capabilities. Yet, they need to remember something," the newspaper said.
"Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said sometimes leaders of Zionist regime threaten us; they are threatening to strike militarily, but I think they know it & if they don't know, they must know if they make a mistake, Iran will destroy Tel Aviv and Haifa.”

The article's publication follows a meeting between the US and Israeli defence chiefs on Thursday. Israeli Defence Minister Benny Gantz reportedly updated American officials that he had set a deadline for when the Israeli military will need to complete preparations for an attack against Iran, to which sources said the US voiced no opposition.
The Israeli defence minister has said he is open to Washington's return to the 2015 nuclear deal - provided the deal is made stricter on Iran. However, Gantz pressed the US in last week's meetings to up its sanctions on Iran.
The latest round of nuclear deal talks is currently taking place in Vienna.
